Outdoor perimeter fences, the great forgotten.
Sitges is a world-renowned tourist destination. And Terramar neighbourhood in the westernmost part of Sitges is one of the first garden-city neighbourhoods in continental Europe. Promoted by Francesc Armengol, urbanistically it was baptised as a European benchmark. To stroll through Sitges is to travel through the history of architecture. This ideal coastal town is fortunate to be home to modernist palaces & residences & other architectural features, iconic buildings, unique spaces, monumental complexes, symbols of an artistic heritage that flourished in the 19th century with the Luminist school, whose members designed & coloured the urban landscape that we appreciate today.
The one above is one of the many construction details plan part of an artistic project for an exterior perimeter fence on a plot whose single-family house is listed in the town council’s heritage archive.

Since 2020, the focus on wellness has been renewed & the importance of outdoor spaces, which improve our quality of life, has been activated; we create pergolas, seating areas, paths, patios & gathering places. Thus, the value of the plot is instantly increased, we connect with nature & experience the therapeutic benefits of spending time outdoors.
