In construction, these two-basic terms are sometimes confused & seem crucial in deciding whether to raise a new building or to buy a plot in the first place: building & usage.

Both represent a piece of land when we construct a building.

Building is the result of the total buildable square metres when we add up all the floors built (in height). Plot’s usage is the percentage of area that can be covered when constructing the building.

Terms of buildability & use are key to analyze & study the profitability of any real estate transaction.

When the paths of an empty plot owner & a real estate agent with a concerned investor cross, the investor is interested in data that neither party usually masters & don’t even know, such as:
